This course explores 3-D textile techniques and includes presentations on the history of basketry around the world. Techniques include coiling,  paper plaited forms, hexagonal cane plaiting, and various other techniques and embellishments. Taught as four or six three-hour sessions, each including a lecture on some aspect of historic or contemporary forms and a new hands-on technique. This course can be shortened to suit your needs.
