For a number of years, I have been delving into the mysteries of indigo dye. Both the fascinating process and long history of indigo have inspired this series of contemporary landscape works. Some of these pieces interpret lights across the Bay at dusk. I have included in this group my large Ndop piece which is more like a map or secret code.
With the indigo workshops I have been teaching around the Bay Area, I hope to share my enthusiasm for this magical dyestuff.
